I have gotten to the point where I do not like take out, fast food, or even eating at restaurants anymore. I would much rather have food prepared at home. Not EVERYTHING I eat is "good for you" but if you don't have indulgences, give into your cravings sometimes, I don't feel you can be successful. I feel as if you are more likely to binge on those foods that aren't good for you. A handful of chips now and then isn't going to kill you. A couple cookies won't make your ass explode. As long as you aren't eating the whole package by yourself (or even half) ... a little bit can go a long way to curbing some of those feelings you get about wanting and needing certain things. And when I am craving something sweet - I can't just eat fruit, because I'm allergic (to most fruits). So it has to be something else.
Well, here is some of my food porn from the last couple weeks.
I loooooooove Lemon tasting things. So DB made me this pastry with some lemon filling we made ourselves. (When I say "we made ourselves" ... 95% of the time, I mean he did it) ....
So these are some lemon cream cheese pastries ...
I love my salads.... green onion, peppers, banana peppers usually, croutons, num num num
Another go to of mine is Salsa and chips. I have salsa, pico de gallo, green onions, peppers, sour cream, cheese, and chips...... soooo good.
One night when DB wasn't feeling well, I made the kids "Eggs in a Basket" for dinner. I used to make this all the time - especially when I was watching kids (other people's kids) .. but I rarely make it for my own. I actually don't remember the last time I made it for them .... so I made them... and they were a hit! The biggest hit of it all, was the small cut out pieces of toast. Yep. Don't give a flip about the eggs really, but those tiny pieces of toast were gold! LOL
